X-Band RHCP TX 2×2 Test Hat

ATH-X-002-RH is a COTS antenna test hat covering 8025 to 8500 MHz, serving CSA-X-002-RH and also compatible with the switched-beam module CSA-X-003-RH. Coupling is 4 to 7 dB with a 5 dB typical at 2.5:1 VSWR and 43 dBm power handling, in an 89 x 89 x 35 mm body at 160 g. It supports bench RF functional testing, integration checks and post-environmental verification without chamber time.

S-band active receive antenna

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The wider coverage matches the antennas it serves, supporting missions that operate above 8400 MHz or whose licensing position is not yet settled, with one qualified test article rather than one per allocation. Coupling is 4 dB minimum, 5 dB typical and 7 dB maximum across the full 475 MHz span. Serving both the 2x2 array and the switched-beam hemispherical module is useful for a programme carrying both antennas on the same bus. RF shielding matters more at X-band than lower in frequency, since 8 GHz test energy escaping a laboratory raises both a personnel exposure question and a licensing one. The enclosure addresses both. Mounting is on interface features already integrated into the antenna, so nothing is added to the spacecraft structure, and the hat dismounts without tooling. The envelope is 89 x 89 x 35 mm (3.5 x 3.5 x 1.39 in) at 160 g with an SMA female interface, rated -70 to +100 °C operating and storage. CSA-X-002-RH and CSA-X-003-RH are the matching antennas.
