CSA-X-004-RH is a COTS X-band high-gain isoflux antenna covering 8025 to 8500 MHz, with its pattern shaped for Moon-to-Earth communications where low-elevation gain matters most. Peak gain is 2.5 to 5 dBic with a 20 to 30 degree half-power beamwidth and axial ratio as low as 1 dB in the primary segment. RHCP, 20 W handling with 10 dB multipaction margin, TRL 8 at 140 g.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Lunar link geometry is unforgiving: Earth subtends roughly two degrees from lunar distance, and within that window the link still varies with spacecraft position and attitude. An isoflux pattern shaped for that geometry delivers usable flux across the whole visibility window rather than peaking at a single point in it. Axial ratio is 1 to 2.5 dB across 8025 to 8400 MHz and 4 to 5 dB at the top of the band, with VSWR at or below 2:1 through an SMA female interface. Multipaction margin of 10 dB is verified by simulation at the full 20 W rating. The antenna stands 76 x 76 x 121 mm (3 x 3 x 4.76 in) at 140 g. Built to withstand the harsh conditions of the lunar environment over long mission durations, the design addresses corona, multipaction and MMOD exposure. Qualification is to NASA GEVS (GSFC-STD-7000) with random vibration to 14.1 GRMS overall across a -70 to +100 °C operating and storage range. ATH-X-003-RH is the matching test hat, coupling at 26 dB to suit the antenna's high gain.
