CSA-UHF-001-LIN is a COTS linearly polarized UHF antenna covering 395 to 405 MHz for spacecraft telemetry, tracking and command. Its omnidirectional pattern varies by no more than ±1 dBi across the band, holding the TT&C link through detumble, safe mode and off-nominal attitudes where a directional antenna would drop out. Flight-proven at TRL 9, qualified to NASA GEVS, and rated to 20 W (43 dBm) through a single SMA female interface for LEO, MEO and GEO missions.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

UHF earns its place on a spacecraft when the link has to work regardless of attitude. CSA-UHF-001-LIN is built for that job: a wide, near-isotropic pattern with no pointing requirement, in a flat panel-mount envelope of 198 x 163 x 24 mm (7.8 x 6.4 x 0.93 in) at 630 g, terminated in SMA female with VSWR between 2:1 and 3.6:1 in band. The design accounts for the environments that actually retire UHF antennas in orbit, including corona discharge and multipaction, atomic oxygen erosion in LEO, and micrometeoroid and orbital debris exposure. Qualification follows NASA GEVS (GSFC-STD-7000) with random vibration to 14.1 GRMS, humidity per MIL-STD-810 Method 507.6, and a -70 to +100 °C operating and storage range. ATH-UHF-001-LIN is the matching test hat for integration and acceptance testing where free-space measurement is impractical. Certain small-volume orders can ship within days rather than the months typically quoted for space-qualified hardware.
