S-Band Dual-CP TX Omni Test Hat
S-Band Dual-CP TX Omni Test Hat
ATH-S-007-DC is a COTS dual circular polarization antenna test hat for CSA-S-009-DC, covering 2200 to 2290 MHz. Coupling is 2.5 to 4.5 dB with a 3.5 dB typical, verifying both RHCP and LHCP transmit paths independently. At 130 g and 81 x 81 x 33 mm it is the smallest S-band fixture in this range, matching the smallest S-band antenna. 43 dBm handling, 2.5:1 VSWR, SMA female.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
On a transmit-only antenna the functional check is short but not trivial: the fixture must handle the radiated power, hold a repeatable coupling factor, and address each polarization separately so a fault on one hand is not masked by a correct result on the other. Coupling is 2.5 dB minimum, 3.5 dB typical and 4.5 dB maximum, a 2 dB window across the transmit band, with power handling of 43 dBm against the antenna's own 20 W rating. The compact envelope matters in practice. This antenna is typically flown as the omnidirectional complement to a directional array, mounted wherever panel area allows, and a bulky fixture can be difficult to fit onto an integrated spacecraft. At 81 x 81 x 33 mm (3.2 x 3.2 x 1.31 in) and 130 g this one generally fits. The RF shielded enclosure contains the transmit test and protects nearby personnel. Mounting features are already present on the antenna, and removal requires no tooling. Rated -70 to +100 °C. CSA-S-009-DC is the matching antenna.
