LNA-L-001 is a COTS space-qualified low-noise amplifier covering 1563.42 to 1587.42 MHz for GPS L1 receive chains, supplied as the amplifier and filter from CSA-L-003-RH without the radiating element. Gain is 15 dB typical at 2.2 dB noise figure with 60 dBc of rejection at 2200 MHz, on 25 mA from a 4.5 to 12 VDC rail. TRL 9, radiation tolerant to 500 krad(Si), 110 g with SMA female interfaces.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Supplying the amplifier separately allows GNSS receiver development, hardware-in-the-loop testing and irradiation campaigns to run against flight-representative hardware without committing a flight antenna, and lets the spacecraft designer choose where the LNA sits in the receive chain. Gain is 12 to 18 dB and customisable on request. Noise figure is 2.2 dB typical and 3.5 dB maximum, measured across the full operating temperature range rather than at ambient alone. The unit is 81 x 81 x 12 mm (3.2 x 3.2 x 0.47 in) at 110 g, with SMA female RF and a DC feedthrough. Designed for the harsh conditions of space, the sealed and vented housing suits LEO, MEO and GEO operation over a five-year mission life. Qualification is to NASA GEVS (GSFC-STD-7000) with random vibration to 14.1 GRMS across a -70 to +100 °C operating and storage range. Radiation tolerance is 500 krad(Si) TID with no destructive single event effects observed to 37 MeV-cm²/mg. CSA-L-003-RH is the matching antenna. Certain small-volume orders can ship within days rather than the months typically quoted for space-qualified hardware.
