ATH-L-001-RH is a COTS antenna test hat covering 1164 to 1591 MHz for the multi-band active GNSS antennas, serving both CSA-L-001-RH and CSA-L-002-RH from one fixture. Coupling is 11 dB typical across the L1/E1 and L2/L5/E5 bands, RHCP, with an SMA female interface at 290 g. It supports both outward RF measurement and inward GNSS simulator injection for receiver verification without a chamber.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Coupling works in both directions. Signal from the flight antenna can be measured out, and simulated constellation signal can be injected in, which allows a navigation receiver to be exercised against a GNSS simulator on the bench rather than requiring an anechoic chamber or a clear sky view. Coupling is 6 to 16 dB on L2/L5/E5 and 8 to 14 dB on L1/E1, with 11 dB typical on both, measured against CSA-L-001-RH. VSWR is 2.5:1. Because the coupling factor is repeatable unit to unit, measurements taken across a production run can be compared directly and against acceptance data. The RF shielded enclosure allows simulator signal to be injected at realistic levels indoors without radiating into live navigation bands. The hat mounts to interface features already present on the antenna, requires no spacecraft bracket, and dismounts without tooling. The envelope is 97 x 97 x 40 mm (3.8 x 3.8 x 1.59 in) at 290 g, rated -70 to +100 °C. CSA-L-001-RH and CSA-L-002-RH are the matching antennas.
