CSA-L-001-RH is a COTS active GNSS antenna covering 1164 to 1591 MHz, spanning GPS L1, L2 and L5, Galileo E1, E5a and E5b, and the L5 signal used by regional systems including NavIC. An integrated filter and LNA add 15 dB of gain at 0.5 to 2.5 dB noise figure, with a phase center held stable across the full band. TRL 9, radiation tolerant to 500 krad(Si), and under 1U at 310 g.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Multi-constellation coverage in a single aperture is what this antenna is for. A receiver resolving position from more than one constellation is served by one unit rather than two, which removes an antenna, a harness run and a mounting interface from the spacecraft. The integrated filter and LNA sit directly ahead of the receiver, providing 12 to 22 dB of gain with 50 dBc of rejection at 1650 MHz to keep adjacent S-band and mobile-satellite energy out of the chain. Passive gain is 1 to 4.5 dBic RHCP, and supply is 4.5 to 12 VDC at 50 to 60 mA. The envelope is 97 x 97 x 27 mm (3.8 x 3.8 x 1.05 in) at 310 g with an SMA female interface. The housing is sealed with a venting mechanism and built for the harsh conditions of low Earth orbit, addressing corona, multipaction, atomic oxygen and MMOD. Qualification follows NASA GEVS (GSFC-STD-7000) with random vibration to 14.1 GRMS and humidity per MIL-STD-810 Method 507.6, across -70 to +100 °C, with 500 krad(Si) radiation tolerance and no destructive single event effects observed to 37 MeV-cm²/mg. ATH-L-001-RH is the matching test hat.
