PRODUCT OVERVIEW
C-band uplink and downlink sit approximately 2 GHz apart, so a single aperture serving both is rarely the right approach. Pairing this antenna with LGA-C-001-RH gives a clean two-antenna architecture with no diplexer. The 500 MHz of coverage accommodates a command receiver operating anywhere across the allocation, which matters where the ground network is not fixed at design time or where the mission expects to be commanded from more than one station. Coverage is 0 dBic across a ±60 degree field of view with RHCP polarization, VSWR below 1.5:1 and an SMA female interface. Qualification follows NASA GEVS Table 2.4-3 with 14.1 GRMS overall random vibration, minimum resonant frequency verification, and 0.25 g low-level sine sweeps before and after vibration. Thermal cycling is to mission requirements. Antenna pattern and S-parameter testing run from 1 to 40 GHz. Custom coverage, polarization, mechanical and interface configurations are developed per mission, with short lead times accommodated on low-volume programmes.
